Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE:AMD) hits a new 52-week high at $7.24 in today’s morning trade. Currently the stock is trading at $7.22, up 9.09%.The company today announced that it will redeem all outstanding principal amount of its 7.75% Senior Notes due 2012 (the “Notes”) on December 18, 2009. The notice of redemption will be mailed to the holders of the Notes on November 18, 2009.

Patriot Coal Corporation (NYSE:PCX) soared 0.63% to $14.39. Today PCX has made a new 52-week at $14.73. Patriot Coal Corporation (Patriot) is a producer of coal in the eastern United States, with operations and coal reserves in Appalachia and the Illinois Basin. It is also a producer of metallurgical quality coal. The Company’s operations consist of 16 mining complexes which include company operated mines, contractor-operated mines and coal preparation facilities.

Longtop Financial Technologies Limited (NYSE:LFT )was another stock which made a new 52 week high of $35.30 and now trades at $34.37 at 6.67%. The company announced that its follow-on public offering of 3,700,000 American depositary shares, or ADSs, each representing one ordinary share of the Company, was priced at $31.25 per ADS. Longtop has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 555,000 ADSs. Longtop plans to use the net proceeds of the offering for potential acquisitions and for general corporate purposes. The Company’s management will retain broad discretion over the use of proceeds, and the Company may ultimately use the net proceeds for different purposes. Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and Morgan Stanley & Co. International plc acted as joint bookrunners for the offering.

(NYSE:CYD) Stock Climbs To 52-week High on 3Q Results

China Yuchai International Limited (NYSE:CYD) soared 15.66% to $13.74 after making a new 52-week high at $13.97 in earlier session. Today it announced financial results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2009.
Net revenues for the third quarter of 2009 were RMB 3,488.4 million (US$ 510.8 million) compared with RMB 3,448.0 million (US$ 504.7 million) in the second quarter of 2009. Gross profit was RMB 582.2 million (US$ 85.3 million) in the third quarter of 2009, representing a 21.2% increase over the gross profit of RMB 480.2 million (US$ 70.3 million) in the second quarter of 2009. The gross margin was 16.7%, a 2.8% improvement over the gross margin of 13.9% for the second quarter of 2009.
China Yuchai International Limited (CYI) owns a controlling interest in Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Company Limited (Yuchai). Through its 76.4% interest in Yuchai, the Company primarily conducts its manufacturing and sale of diesel engines, which are mainly distributed in the People’s Republic of China (PRC) market.

priceline.com Incorporated (NASDAQ:PCLN) gapped up in morning session and jumped up 14.20% to $198.40 after making a new 52-week high at $199.95 earlier in the session.
Yesterday, the company reported its financial results for the 3rd quarter 2009. Gross travel bookings for the 3rd quarter, which refers to the total dollar value, inclusive of all taxes and fees, of all travel services purchased by consumers, were $2.7 billion, an increase of 32.8% over a year ago. The company had revenues in the 3rd quarter of $730.7 million, a 30.1% increase over a year ago. The Company’s international operations contributed revenues in the 3rd quarter of $316.9 million, a 41.7% increase versus a year ago (approximately 50% on a local currency basis). The gross profit for the 3rd quarter was $434.0 million, a 37.3% increase from the prior year.
