Conseco, Inc. (NYSE:CNO) fell 3% in the after-hours after it has priced an underwritten public offering of 45,000,000 shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $4.75 per share. In addition, the Company has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 4,500,000 shares of the Company’s common stock to cover over-allotments, if any. The offering is expected to close on or about December 22, 2009.
Dana Holding Corporation (NYSE:DAN) surged 2.5% to $9.63 after Metalsa, S.A. de C.V. has announced that it has agreed to purchase the structural products business of Dana. This acquisition strengthens Metalsa’s position as a global supplier providing structural components to the light and commercial vehicle markets.
Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) fell 7% to $3.21 after Citigroup Inc. announced the pricing of 5.4 billion common shares and 35 million tangible equity units as part of agreement with the U.S. government and its regulators to repay U.S. taxpayers for $20 billion government holds in TARP trust preferred securities and to terminate loss-sharing agreement with the government. The common stock priced at $3.15 per share, generating net proceeds of approximately $17 billion. 5.4 billion shares at the rumored $3.15.
